Mary Morris, CED, shared information about the county including the fact that Chowan County is 172 square miles making it the smallest county in the state by land miles. She also talked about the Edenton Tea Party which happened on October 25, 1774, when 51 women organized and added their names to a resolution against the British Empire. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party. Patty Bowers, Chowan County EFNEP Educator, shared demographic information about the county and highlighted teapots in the room decorations.
