Outstanding Performance Award Winner: Patty Saltpaw

Outstanding performers are innovative and creative EFNEP educators who see beyond the impossible. They drive the program to the highest level, surpassing their workload targets and impact goals. They have built strong collaborative relationships with multiple agencies within their county. 

This year’s recipient of the Outstanding Performance Award is Patty Saltpaw from Johnston County EFNEP.

Patty has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance with her passion for the community evident in every aspect of her work. She delivers engaging EFNEP classes in both English and Spanish, resulting in a 97% positive diet change among her participants and surpassing her adult enrollment target by 11%. Her ability to forge and sustain partnerships is a hallmark of her success. She collaborates with diverse agencies, including the Partnership for Children, Johnston County Schools, farmworker groups, the Johnston County Health Department, and many others. Her high-quality programs consistently lead to direct requests for her education from partners. Patty's leadership is also recognized statewide, including her role in the EFNEP Spanish Community video. Her dedication, impactful programming, and exceptional collaboration make her a truly deserving recipient of this Outstanding Performance Award.
