NC Extension Attends the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior Conference

North Carolina State University was well represented at this years Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. The theme of the conference was Leveraging Interconnections in Nutrition Communities. Attendees engaged in session surrounding a variety of topics including: family meals, food as medicine, community partnerships, fruit and vegetable prescriptions, and food literacy.

During the Poster Session, North Carolina EFNEP was highlighted with a poster titled: Enhancing Community-Based Nutrition Education: Opportunities and Lessons Learned from North Carolina EFNEP Educators in Implementing Families Eating Smart and Moving More. Dr. Virginia Stage, Ryan Lundquist and Brenna Kirk, collaborated with Lisa Benavente and Megan Berthiaume to share findings of their recent evaluation of the Families Eating Smart and Moving More curriculum.
