EFNEP Educators in the East and Northeast regions gathered together at the Food Bank of the Albemarle on Friday, December 13th for their annual holiday meeting. Ellen Owens, Pasquotank County Extension Director, welcomed the group and shared notable highlights about the county and its growth over the years. Educators had an opportunity to tour the Food Bank and also observed Della Hicks, Adult EFNEP Educator, teaching a lesson from the Families Eating Smart and Moving More Curriculum.
Holiday Gathering to Celebrate Success!
In the afternoon, educators spent time together celebrating their accomplishments over the past year and decorating gingerbread houses. The group ended the day at the Museum of the Albemarle. The museum was decorated with Christmas trees from the thirteen counties represented there and educators were able to cast a vote for the tree that was their favorite. Everyone received a keepsake bell to highlight their visit! The holiday meeting was a wonderful opportunity for EFNEP educators to gather, celebrate, relax and learn together!
