After more than 22 years of dedicated service, Hazel McPhatter has retired from her role with the Scotland County Cooperative Extension Office and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)! Hazel’s journey began as a passionate 4-H volunteer, where her deep commitment to empowering youth became evident. Her exceptional work led her to a full-time position with EFNEP, where she continued to make a significant impact on the community. Throughout her career, Hazel demonstrated unwavering dedication and hard work. She forged partnerships with schools, churches, and youth organizations. Her work was also instrumental in creating a summer camp that integrated the Summer Meals for Kids feeding program. Her tireless efforts have positively impacted thousands of young lives, providing them with invaluable opportunities and resources.
