Last week, EFNEP Educators in the East and Northeast had the pleasure of watching Dinorah Keith, Wayne County EFNEP Educator, lead an engaging teach-back session of the Families Eating Smart and Moving More Lesson - Shop: Get the Best for Less.

A major highlight of Dinorah's presentation was her savvy shopping advice, including her expert knowledge on Dollar General penny sales. She shared how strategically shopping on Saturdays can help families secure the best deals. Dinorah also emphasized the importance of preparedness; living in an area where hurricanes are a real threat, she spoke on the vital role of keeping shelf-stable supplies on hand for when the power goes out. Dinorah prepared the EFNEP Tuna Burger recipe, a quick and affordable recipe packed with lean protein.

To wrap things up, she led the group in a "Move More" activity using stretch bands, which provided a great moment for both physical activity and team building. Thank you, Dinorah, for leading such an insightful and engaging session!
