Family & Consumer Science Institutes Return to Raleigh

This year's FCS Institutes were held at the McKimmon Center on NC State's Campus. The conference theme was: Engaging Communities, Transforming Lives: Equipping Extension to Strengthen Health, Wellness & Resilience Across North Carolina. 

The institutes were a success with over 100 attendees and 8 EFNEP Educators attending! Our EFNEP leadership team also attended and were involved with the planning, round table discussions, lemonade stands, and a session on Creating Impactful Success Stories.

With 57 counties attending the event, it was a great opportunity to collaborate to collect kitchen kits items for those still recovering from hurricane Helene in the Western part of our state. Donated items helped to build kitchen kits to help support 80 families rebuilding their kitchen essentials.
