Betsy Hooker, Henderson County EFNEP educator, was invited to participate in the Hendersonville Farmers Market for the 2023 season. This was a wonderful opportunity to promote EFNEP in her community. She provided fun activities for the children and educational cooking demonstrations for both children and parents. Betsy used delicious fresh tomatoes and other ingredients from local growers to demonstrate a recipe that became a favorite at the market--fresh bruschetta. The greatest compliment received was when a gentleman, whose grandparents originated from Italy, asked Betsy for seconds!
